This is another setting that does not have much of an impact on performance and you can leave it at high or medium without losing image quality. Turning down this setting does not have a major effect on the performance. Texture quality determines how sharp different objects look. Unless you have the top of the line graphics card, you should stick to SSAO. Ambient Occlusion is taxing on the graphics card and turning this setting down will give you a major boost in performance.

Here you can switch between standard SSAO and HBAO. Changing this setting will give you a significant boost in performance but you will need to tweak the settings in order to find the best balance between performance and visuals. Here you can choose between temporal AA or TAA. If you are not willing to compromise on the visuals then you should tweak other settings first but depending on your hardware, turning down the settings can give you a performance boost of up to 40%. Graphics quality obvious will have a significant impact on FPS and performance. You will need a decent PC in order to run the game at 60 FPS at decent settings. While it is not poor, it is not amazing either. If you have a weaker graphics card or are running the game at a higher resolution then you should get lower FPS as compared to what we have mentioned here.īefore we get into the details, let me tell you that Anthem PC optimization is decent at best.

We used the GTX 1070 and played the game on a 1080p display. Your performance and variance will depend on the hardware that you are using and the resolution of your display. Now that we have the hardware requirements out of the way, we can move on to the different settings that you can tweak when playing Anthem on PC. AMD does not think that this is an ideal solution but if you really need to hit the 60 FPS mark then that is an option that you can use, provided that you have an RTX graphics card.

What you needįor people with Intel builds, we recommend at least a Core i5-7400 processor since its the best combination of value and power on the market right now. The minimum requirements will do just fine. In our experience, Anthem looks and runs well even on lower settings, so unless you need your graphics to be ultra-crisp, you can optimize the game just by upgrading a couple of parts. There's no reason to spend hundreds of dollars just to play a game. If you know anything about PC parts, you'll notice that the recommended parts are quite powerful, and therefore expensive.

To get the best graphics and see the least amount of lag and crashes, you'll have to do better than just "OK."Īccording to the Origin page for the game, you need to have the following minimum requirements to play Anthem on Windows 10 (you can't play on any version of Windows below that):

Besides the fact that you'll need at least 50GB free on your PC to download it (not including all the patches), you need to have a competent gaming rig. Anthem, from EA's Bioware, is a gigantic game.
